I have to warn you… this is not the type of post you’d normally find on a site about website design. But hey, I’m a real person who just happens to be a web developer, walking out this thing called life.
And let’s be real. Sometimes the ugliness of life can overshadow its beauty.
We want to jump in bed, pull the covers over our heads and not come out.
Or run for the hills hollering “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I GIVE UP!”
Yet the reality is that we can’t do either of those things.
The show has to go on and we have to rise to the challenge and make it through another day.
When you get to feeling overwhelmed and discouraged, remember this…
It won’t last forever… just press through today.
You’re not alone… there is someone else out there who survived what you’re facing and you can too.
What you see is what will be… change your perspective and choose to BELIEVE in a better outcome.
What you say is what you have… choose your words carefully and only speak what you want to see.
What you expect is what you get… focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.
Trust me, I know that sometimes you don’t want to see another positive quote on your Facebook Timeline. You don’t want to hear another person tell you it’ll be ok.
You want to scream about how unfair it all is. You want to brood and complain (a.k.a. vent).
And honestly, while these things are kinda satisfying in the moment, they have no lasting value and they don’t change anything.
So… I don’t have anything super profound to say that will have you ready to go slap a bear.
And instead of hitting you with another postive quote (*wink*) I’ll just say this…
Life is kinda like a never ending, nail-biting football game.
If you don’t play hard and fight until the last second ticks off the clock, you’ll never know if you could’ve won it all in those final moments.
You won’t experience the exhiliration of making a comeback.
You’ll always wonder what could have happened and constantly rehearse and complain about what should have happened.
Today, I just wanted to take a moment to be your cheerleader.
I can’t do a split 🙂 but I’m still yelling…
DON’T BE DISCOURAGED.
THE GAME’S NOT OVER YET.
STAY ON THE FIELD AND KEEP PLAYING.
DIG DEEPER AND FIGHT HARDER.
You’re not a victim… you’re more than a conqueror!
Now bring home the win!
