So is it really possible for you to grow a profitable business online? Of course it is! And in this fairly long (but GOOD) article I’m gonna tell you why and how…
Life and Business
(a.k.a. 15 things I wish somebody had told me when…) Do you remember when you first dipped your toes into the online business pool? Maybe a better term would be whirlpool… or ocean… or freaking white water rapids. LOL. This thing is no joke! But do you remember? Do you still remember the excitement? Or were you scared? Maybe you’re just starting so it hasn’t been that long.
“Vision without execution is hallucination.” Let me first say I know I have quite a few pros here. I also have a lot of newbies and not-quite-pros-yet too. So this may not fully apply to you if you’ve already got things running like a well-oiled machine.
If not… keep reading.
I have to warn you… this is not the type of post you’d normally find on a site about website design. But hey, I’m a real person who just happens to be a web developer, walking out this thing called life. And let’s be real. Sometimes the ugliness of life can overshadow its beauty. We want to jump in bed, pull the covers over our heads and not come out. Or run for the hills hollering “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I GIVE UP!” Yet the reality is that we can’t do either of those things.
No doubt about it… you have brilliance inside of you. There is something that you do better than anyone else. Something you can’t stop talking about or showing people how to do. The world needs to see your brilliance! You’re doing it already. You just need a bigger platform. The Internet is that platform and you can use it in various ways.
I have no problems admitting that I am an “Information” junkie. Hey, it’s the reason I’m so smart (wink). For as long as I can remember I’ve loved books… reading them… holding them… flipping the pages. When I could barely talk and before I could “really” read, I’d memorize the books my mom read to me and “read” them back to her.
If I had to narrow it down to one thing that gets many entrepreneurs, newbies and veterans alike, bogged down it would be this sneaky foe. It has many faces and comes wrapped in many pretty packages. It can keep you stuck in the same place day after day… week after week… month after month. Under the auspices of good intentions and being helpful, it sneaks up on you and keeps you occupied for hours at a time. The only problem is that your not occupied doing anything productive.
